Lithuanian premier visiting Belarus
Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius arrived in Minsk on a one-day visit on June 28, a representative of the Lithuanian embassy told BelaPAN.
The Lithuanian premier is to meet with his Belarusian counterpart, Syarhey Sidorski, and Alyaksandr Lukashenka, take part in the inauguration of a shopping center built by a Lithuanian investor and meet with Lithuanian businesspeople operating in Belarus.
Mr. Kubilius is also to visit the city of Cherven in the Minsk region to honor the memory of victims of the NKVD who were killed in 1941, and to meet with representatives of civil society organizations.
Mr. Kubilius told reporters in Vilnius earlier this month that he was going to discuss Belarus’ nuclear power plant project among other issues.
