Lukashenka urges young Belarusians not to emigrate
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has called on young Belarusians not to look to emigrate but stay in Belarus and contribute to the country's prosperity, as quoted by BelaPAN.
“Those who stake on emigration or resistance to their country and their people will come off losers sooner or later,” the Belarusian leader said while speaking at a farewell party for top graduates from the country’s higher education institutions held in Minsk on Tuesday.
“Belarus is developing despite crises and external threats,” Mr. Lukashenka’s press office quoted him as saying. “If you want our state to be respected in the world, you should devote yourselves fully to the cause of multiplying its prosperity and spiritual grandeur. You begin your adult life in the time of an economic and technological breakthrough, which the modern history of our country has not yet seen.”
“Our policy supported with the energy and enthusiasm of youths will bring our country to a historical height about which our ancestors could only dream,” he said.
At the party, Mr. Lukashenka distributed “valuable” gifts” to 10 graduates with the highest marks, said the press office.
