    Minister shows emergency management motorcycles to reporters

    Emergency management workers in Minsk will use three motorcycles to secure a quicker response to accidents amid traffic congestion, Emergency Management Minister Enver Baryyew told reporters in Minsk on July 20, as quoted by BelaPAN.

    One of the motorcycles will be used by firefighters. The other two will be used for rescuing people injured in vehicle crashes. The reporters were shown the motorcycles and their equipment.

    "The use of motorcycles by rescuers is particularly efficient in urban localities: they are maneuverable and traffic jams will not be an obstacle to them," Mr. Baryyew said.

    He noted that emergency management workers in other cities would also start using motorcycles.
