German diplomats bring gifts to Barawlyany center for children from problem families
Representatives of the German embassy on January 5 visited a center for children from problem families in Barawlyany just outside Minsk to hand it over Christmas gifts, including a refrigerator, a TV set, a washing machine and furniture apart from toys.
“If coming [Orthodox] Christmas becomes more beautiful thanks to us, we will be very happy,” said Peter Dettmar, deputy head of the German diplomatic mission (photo 3).
Children aged between three and 16 whose parents have been stripped of their parental rights live in the center in Barawlyany. Its staff provides psychological and legal assistance to the kids and their families. //BelaPAN
