Belarusian rhythmic gymnast Charkashyna wins bronze at London Olympics
Rhythmic gymnast Lyubow Charkashyna earned a 12th medal for Belarus at the London Olympics on August 11, winning bronze in the individual all-round final.
The 24-year-old Belarusian shared the podium with winner Yevgeniya Kanayeva and runner-up Darya Dmitriyeva, both of Russia.
Another Belarusian rhythmic gymnast, Melitsina Stanyuta, missed out on a place in the final, finishing 12th in the qualifying round.
Belarus’ medal tally included three gold, four silver and five bronze medals before August 12, the final day of the Olympics. //BelaPAN
