Over 45,000 people attended Easter church services in Belarus, police say
More than 45,000 people attended Easter services held in the Roman Catholic churches across Belarus this past weekend, the interior ministry reported.
Ten of the largest churches reportedly received more than 13,000 people on Saturday and Sunday.
No disruptions of public peace were reportedly recorded, the ministry said.
About 11,000 people attended Easter church services in the Minsk region, reported the Minsk regional police department,
According to the interior ministry, last year's Catholic Easter services in Belarus drew more than 194,000 people. //BelaPAN
