Rotting hog carcasses found in forest near Vitsyebsk
Berry hunters stumbled upon an open pit containing rotting hog carcasses in a forest in the Vitsyebsk district earlier this week.
The hogs had been taken away from residents of nearby villages and culled amid an outbreak of African swine fever at a farm not far away.
Recent rains had washed away the earth covering the carcasses, and the dead hogs were seen lying in puddles of water. // BelaPAN
