Police arrest armed robbers in businessman's house in Slutsk
Officers of the interior ministry's Main Organized Crime and Corruption Directorate and Almaz, an elite anti-terrorism unit, arrested five armed and masked robbers who intruded into the house of a businessman in Slutsk, Minsk region, on the night of October 15, reported the press office of the interior ministry.
The five men, members of an international criminal group, were apprehended as soon as they walked into the house, according to the press office.
The robbers included three citizens of Russia – one native of Turkmenistan's Ashgabat who was a resident of Russia’s Bryansk province and two residents of Moscow – and two Belarusian citizens resident in Babruysk, Mahilyow region, the press office said.
The men, three of whom have previous convictions, including convictions of arms and drug trafficking, have been placed in a detention center of the Minsk city police department, the press office said. //BelaPAN
