Belarusian business delegation staying in Turkmenistan
A delegation of Belarusian businesspeople is staying in Turkmenistan, reported the Belarusian embassy in the Central Asian country.
Headed by Deputy Trade Minister Edvard Matulis, the delegation arrived in Turkmenistan on April 13 for a two-week visit.
The development of economic cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan in all areas, from trade in goods to the establishment of joint companies, is currently under discussion in Ashgabat, the embassy said.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with Babaniyaz Italmazov, deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, who co-chairs an interstate Belarusian-Turkmen commission for trade and economic cooperation, the embassy said. The delegation will also have meetings with top-ranking representatives of several ministries and other governmental agencies, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as Turkmen companies.
The delegation is expected to participate in a general meeting of the founders of the Belarusian-Turkmen trading house, which was established in Ashgabat in 2010. Under discussion will be the organization’s prospects, the embassy said. //BelaPAN
