Woman stabbed to death at cafe in Minsk

The Minsk city office of the Investigative Committee of Belarus is investigating the murder of a 39-year-old woman who has recently been stabbed to death at a sidewalk cafe in the Urucha neighborhood.

The Minsk resident is believed to have been stabbed with a knife by a 59-year-old man resident in the Minsk region while he was intoxicated.

The woman, who had a previous conviction, died on the spot.

The man, who had several previous convictions, including a conviction of murder, fled the scene. He was arrested soon afterwards in one of the apartment buildings near the cafe.

A bloodstained knife was seized from him. //BelaPAN
